Just like studying from a book, you can annotate on top of content (text, images or screenshots) or highlight the important parts as you prepare for that exam next Monday. OneNote will then convert the handwriting in the note to typed text. Then click the Ink to Text button in the Convert button group on the Draw tab of the Ribbon. After the handwriting has been converted, you can select, edit, and format the text in any way you want. If the original ink strokes in your handwriting were written in a particular pen color, OneNote will automatically format the converted text in the same color. In PowerPoint, in order to for the Ink to Text feature to recognize your preferred languages, you must set the Office editing languages. Inking with OneNote is made to feel natural and fluid. To convert handwriting to text in OneNote, first select the note that you want to convert. Click or tap Ink to Text to convert your handwriting selection to typed text. In Word, in order to insert text with the caret symbol, Ink Editor must recognize your writing language. The ink recognition capabilities in Ink Editor for Word and Ink to Text for PowerPoint support many languages for conversion, but not all languages that are supported by Office.
